Bone pendant.....arrowhead...

Hello guys...long time no see...its been a while since i post something  here on PA...this days i had the moode to do something from  bone....so...here it is....a bone pendant...its a arrowhead.. with a piece of ash wood atached  to the head....the proces of meaking this arrowhead is exactly like u will make it for a real arrow....i had to work a little to make the piece of wood and the  bone, to mach together.... the cord is also braided by my self.....and at the end of the cord there is a piece of horn....i hope u will enjoy it...and i hope that i will come back soon with some bow's to....i did not had time for bow's latley....

i did not understand your question..sorry....but iff u ask aboute that litle piece or horn....well its cow horn.... the rest its only cord....some stuff that its used in leather stitching...

I was asking about the eye... the loop at the top of the wood that the brade goes through. Is it made of the same material as the braid or is some sore of metal eye?

Its the same material as the braid is made....

very cool. i might have to finally do something with all the claws i have and my arrowhead. akila have you ever made arrowheads from antler? if so i take it you have to carefully select a big enough piece to avoid the pith right?

No i never m ade one form antler.....but yess...i think u are right...u need a big  piece of antler....

 walkabout, I've made them from the paddles on moose and caribou antlers. They are thick and you don't have to get in the pithy part.

That's one purdy pendant. Really like the braid and arrowhead style. The back latch is also unique.

Absolutely beautiful pendant you made, Akila.  Ove the lines of the head and the detail all round.

Maybe you coul post a build along describing the way to do that braid?
