thanks all for the kind words and support. next year I am going to try more for an elk. Aaron...yes, I remember you, I have the tipi with the elk and buffalo on it. my name is dave. the tip I used was made out of burns green. I am in North Dakota visiting my daughter and her new baby. will be home on monday and will take pics of the tip to show how it fractured. I found some knife river flint here and have been making some flakes to send home. worked on a couple of tips but I dont have my tools with me. I did manage to find some deer antler and that helped a lot.

Dave.... right....since you were at the knapin last my tent got paint too. ...
 I had a burns green arrowhead this year too, but never got to shoot it yet....

way cool artwork!!!! my tipi is the one that is more tan. I only made it one day this year and didnt camp. will have more time this next year.
