Osage Orange - Recurve - Yellow Horse
« on: September 23, 2010, 09:48:03 am »
Hi folks!

Last year I got a little, twisted Osage stave with some cracks as a present.
I took deer raw hide, steemed little recurves in the stave and built up a handle exactly fitting in my hand with flax wood glue and leather.
The little propeller shoots my 460grain arrows quite fast. It can smoothly be drawn to 28”.

Length: 55”
Drawweight: 30#
Drawlength: 28”

Nice one there!  I really like your full draw picture too.  Got this one bookmarked for Sept BOM contest too.  :)

That's some mad brace height!  :o Good looking bow... I think the rawhide was a nice touch. The tips really sell it.

This bow is amazing. What kind of rawhide is that? Does it shoot fast?
