Christmas present bow
« on: December 01, 2010, 10:15:39 pm »
hello. I made this bow for a friend down in Arkansas. Its a red oak board that i cut down to one ring and backed with deer rawhide after heat treating 2" of reflex into. It keeps an inch after a day of shooting and rests back to near 2". Came out to 45 lbs @ 26" Bit over 50 at 28". Good shooter. My friend is gonna use this one for this hunting season.. Is a little less than 1 1/2 " in handle to fades tapering to small tips. Enjoy..

Nice work, spot on tillering job!

Good looking present. Nice tiller too. Your friend will love that.

If it doesn't rap the lintel, it might not be a longbow.
