They swarm like that just prior to headin' south.It's probably all females and immature birds,as the mature males have already gone.Where are you located?Ours in east Texas are'nt swarming yet,as ours usually leave in october.  God Bless

very cool, i love hummingbirds

i had swarms of them this past spring around my ground blind while turkey hunting
we also get some in our yard during the summer,i thinks its because of all the hostas the wife has planted
i always wanted a harley,untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

That is cool  I've never seen them swarm like that.  Ours go to Costa Rica for the winter.

Not really a suggestion, as they're too pretty to kill but the thought struck me while watching that vid that it'd certainly test your skill with an arrow to attempt to skewer one in mid-flight...

Probably impossible

And I thought that the 8-10 that my dad had around the House was a Lot! We don't get them too often down here in the Desert...just see them for a couple days every year...they are too smart to stick around here and dry up and blow away......... ;D

Hey pat...these Guys built right along side of My dads Deck...and we never even knew they were there....gave me the Willies when I went out to shag soem Arrows I shot off the Deck...and walked right by them...seeing as how I am highly allergic to any Insect Sting....... :-[...these are Black Jackets

Is that yellowjackets or bald faced hornets? We sometimes get yellowjackets building nest above ground but usually only is very wet weather.

Black Jacket Wasps...you can tell how bad the Winters are going to be...by how High They build their Nests off the Ground...so Yooper Wisdom goes...... ;D

Me and my daughter target shoot from the front of the porch.  Those things dart all around us while we are shooting.  My wife keeps telling me that I am going to hit one.
