« on: September 07, 2010, 06:43:09 am »
This is one of our club members and an old friend of mine,he has been shooting selfbows for a good while but finely decided to make himself one.He had a lot of advice but done all the work himself.
Turned out pretty nice for his first adult bow.He shoots it very good and is planing on hunting with it in a couple of week.Hope you enjoy.By the way his name is Doug. :)

Wow, very cool.  That bow looks very reliable and he did a very nice job with the extra details and artwork.  Best wishes to him for good luck with it, Pappy!

Hey, Pappy, the 'other Doug' here. Were the drawings done on the wood itself, or on a layer of sealer? And what was it drawn with?

Thanks,

Forgot that Gordon,47@26 62 n-n  4 inch handle,1 1/4 fads  ,the limbs are 1 1/2 to mid limb then tapered to the tips. It was drawn on and then sealed over,I will have to ask
what he put it on with ,but I think colored art pencils ,like sharpies. :)
