thanks much guys.
acker- 62" really isnt very short. true i do draw about 26" but its tillered to 28".   i have made regular unbacked selfbows 54- 58 with no problems and almost all my bows have been rigid handle bows. I'd say probably 75 out of the 77 bows i have made have been rigid mid-sections.  62" bows are probably my most common build for a 28" draw.
hammertime- i have to admit as much as i like the colors in the grip, it was sort of an accident picking the red ipe for the grip. i realized the color difference while i was glueing and wondered if it would look silly. but i like it..lol   But something about osage and ipe that just go together well in my opinion

Nice bow!  If the string breaks while you're out hunting, then you can use it as a javelin  ;D

Another example of why this is the place to be. Is it me or has the level of craftsmanship gone up? That is a beautiful bow.
