Vroooomm.....vroooomm......POP!
« on: August 28, 2010, 03:15:03 am »
Thought I'd get in one last froggin' trip before bow season opened. All these came from two small ponds within a mile of my house.  About the fastest trip I've been on, to have killed as many.
They're skinned and twitching in salt water as I type this 8)

Jamie, this was but a drop in the bucket. All these came from two ponds about 50 yards long X 35 yards wide. I didn't even go to the "good" one and left as many as I shot.

Some of the best crawdads I ever ate were out of Tobin Lake in northern Saskatchewan.  Picked up about a dozen one morning, they were all about 8 inches long, the claws were big enough to crack for the meat.  Delish!

Mmmm, thinking about those frogs makes me hoooongray!  I got a bottle of sauvignon blanc and some fresh corn on the cob to go with 'em along with some 'fridge pickles outa the cukes from my garden!
