Hey thanks guys. The dye job is Feibings Leather Dye (spirit dye) that transitions from red to russet to red. The russet was a little to "brown" for my liking, so I went back over that with a very damp, almost dry wash of red dye to give it a red tinge. Then I sprayed the bow with 3 or 4 coats of Helmsan spar urethane finish and let that dry completely. I did the paint work over the finish instead of the bare wood so there would be crisp lines and no bleeding. I used Elmer's Painter's brand paint pens, which are compatible with the spar urethane. (Some pens aren't.) Anyway, I'm just anxious to get out in the woods and see if I can bring home a whitetail with it.
