Good Afternoon Yew

Just finished this yew splice out of a yew branch that was 48"
Sliced it with a w splice at 66" long 45#@26
Tips are long horn peaces wrapped with Dog bane.
The handle is wrapped with Decoy cord then a leather grip and rest Wrapped stunk style with cordage
The string leans a little to the rest side , guess that"s OK as long as it hits target.

very nice bow and i to like the handle wrap.wish that yew grew here in MO. would like to work a piece one day.

Thanks all, I got the Yew Branch at my local exotic wood distributor.
The Tips I was going to use on another short  bow but that failed while tillering.

Yea I wish there was some yew growing in MO also cool bow like what you did with the
handle some good thought went into that. Way to go!

Thanks all, I forgot to ask if I was supposed to chase a ring on a spliced yew branch bow, The bow seems to be ok as is at 26 inches havent heard that creeeack yet.
