Hello,
Here is the Ashcott Bow that I made for my mother. she wanted something to hang on her wall and occasionally shoot when she comes to my house. It's a bit heavy for her, but hey, that's alright. This bow follows the dimensions in Tbb2 in the Ancient European bows sections. It's 62" long, an inch wide tapering to thin tips, slightly recurved and has that odd rise at the grip. I kinda like that odd rise, it gives a feel for where to grab and this bow shoots fine. Comes in at 48# at 28". It's hickory. Looks to me like the original wasn't following a growth ring and this is from a board, so hey, it's pretty close to authentic. Doesn't specify what the original was made out of, I dunno, maybe elm in southern England? Anyhow...
Finished it with purple dye and mahogony stain.
Thanks for looking.

P.s. Hey, Destructo, sorry about the shirtless picture but it's hot down here and I haven't put a shirt on in 4 days
