Hackberry paddle bow dimensions

I love the look of paddle bows and have a couple of pieces of hackberry, one I would like to make a paddle bow, what kind of dimensions do I need for that cool shape.

I build most of my Shooters at 66 inches ...NTN....a Paddle Bow is simply hourglass shaped....my Bows are 1 1/8" wide in the  Handle....transitioning to 2 1/2' wide in the middle....tapering to 3/8" pin nocks....if I am going for a true replica...then I only make the 44-46 inches NTN...

What's the performance like on the paddle bows, compared to longbows or recurves?  Speed?  Handshock?
