A few months ago, I promised my long-time friend Micah that I'd make him a light weight bow that he and his wife could play with. He became interested in archery after we visited a Renaissance Faire where he, his wife, and I spent several hours shooting at their old style archery range.
It's 70" ntn, solid hickory with purpleheart wood tip overlays and a cedar pistol grip style handle. It's stained with red oak and polyurethaned for a lasting shine. 25# @ 29", it is just right for Micah and his wife for a day of target shooting. Almost every element and spec were of his request. This is my first build specifically for someone else. I like giving away bows, I have discovered, as the joy on the face of the recipient is priceless. The same friend who received the bow also took these pics. He's quite a photographer.
Thanks for viewing,
Prof
