Back it.

use wood, Bamboo or sinew.

or Pike it (make limbs shorter)

or a mix of both.

So I take it you came in a little under weight with your new bow?  the easiest and fastest and most sure-fire fix there is would be to just start another.  :)  My first 2 or 3 came in underweight too.  Try to get it braced earlier, most people leave it on the long string too long and by the time they get to the full brace they are already under weight.   IF it is a succesful bow then just keep that one to practice your form with and try to make your next one heavier.   You know you are going to make another one anyways!    :)

I'm with Josh. Normally it's more than weight that I'd like to fix, so on the next one I adjust the handle, the tips, maybe the style or shape. Not only is the second one closer in draw to what I wanted, but there are usually other little aspects that I like. Unless I don't have anymore of that material, I usually just go make more :)

Yep....more work to flatten out the Belly....cut a Backing Strip...and glue the Two together...than it is to just start over...and learn from what you did wrong...good luck... ;)

Heck if it's 70 inches go ahead and pike an inch off both limbs and make it 68 inches... should give you 4 or 5 lbs... I thought you meant it came in waaay under weight.   :)

....but still build another just because.   ...and post pics.  :)

i'm a big fan of heat treating a little reflex in if it's close to my target weight- for me it kinda depends on the wood, though
