Sometimes it pays off, stepping out of the ranks. White oak is my preference over red. Both grow all around my home.White oak seems to me like ash. Makes a pretty bow. I like the simplicity of your bow, nice lines. Great job. Denny

Great package the whole thing. The choice of handle wrap doesnt alf set the whole thing off too.
I have a very very snakey oak stave roughed out so this has given me a push to get on with it. Never tried it before either.
