Has anyone tried chicken feathers for fletchings. How'd they work out ?

Chicken feathers should work fine if you have enough feather surface area. All fletchings do on an arrow is steer and stabilize flight so anything that causes wind resistance at the rear of the arrow should work.

As kids we used mostly Chicken feathers for fletching. They worked quite well. I have used them on flight arrows and they work just as good as anything else
