Nice bow Ken!  Yeah those trilam R/D bows are a little tricky to tiller aren't they?  Seems like when you finally got an area bending like you want it you start to run outta belly wood, floor tillering lies to you and the truth comes out once you got it braced and see it is TOTALLY not bending like it was on floor tillering/long string.  You gotta do as much side tillering as you do belly scraping (at least i had to with mine  ) I made my first one last month and I know where you are coming from....   It is definitely a totally different sack of apples compared to a long bow.  You did a great job on yours the woods contrast very nicely together and the tiller looks awesome.  Keep em coming bro!

Yeah, I sort of picked Hickory to learn with not having much access to anything else for a long time. Built a bunch of bows with it, now that I've used more woods I still think Hickory is one of the better bow woods out there, but I'm still finding more woods to experiment with.

gmc , me too i got a sparkleberry (blue berry family) today had to cut a 22in hickory tree and it took out a sparkleberry tree bout 10inch diameter, so i got 16 hickory stave 4 sparkleberry and mabe more when i move the hickory top, and a 14 foot log to have sawn into quarter sawn boards . im gonna be busy
