Doncha just love Yew... so pretty and tough with it. I'll bet you could pull that back to your ear and it wouldn't complain.
Nice to have the skin and the sap & the heart wood all showing, very pretty.

Good job, Pappy.  I like it a lot.  Nice skins.  Yew is beautiful wood, isn't it?  I am going to try my second one soon.

the wife thought you did that stick justice,but she cant beleive you were still working on that same one from back in february.

WOW,THAT IS GREAT..so,was it alittle softer...i am so glad that it all came out for you..and now we can call you a brother of the pacific northwest....I do have one question....how did you go about doing all the fancy writing on the bow..this is some thing i need to learn or what to use..great work ...john

Thanks guys,Ya sailordad I have had so much going on just couldn't get it finished,just done a little at a time between a few other bows started and things going on at the club. blacktail,ya it was much softer than I am use to,had to slow down and be real careful scraping.I do like the way it feels,it is so springy.I have another short piece with no knots,can't wait to get started on it.Thanks again. :) :)
