A couple of different bows
« on: June 28, 2010, 05:22:40 pm »
Here are some really different critters. The scalloped bow was inspired by Half Eye's postings. I didn't make it as short as his but there is always the next one. I learned a bunch, White Oak quartersawn, started at three fingers wide,  60" 42# at 28". The other is a standard BBI re/de  that is 66" and 53# at 28". I glued on some leather to build the arrow rest out and will sew a handle when I get the finishing done. I'll use a floppy rest and some jute to wrap a handle on the scalloped critter. I seem to be doing everything in two's.

Dang Grunt those both look great, but ya got to know that Odawa (ottawa) is a honey and the weight is about perfect by the original standard. Really like the fineals too!!!
