Snakeskins
« on: June 26, 2010, 12:55:30 pm »
I am looking for 2 matching snake skins about 26-30" long each for a sinewed shorty I'm working on.  Any snake will work, even the undesirable species- if there are any  ;) I'm more interested in waterproofing the sinew than the snakes.  Thanks! Interested in trade or other.  Let me know what you might be interested in.  I have some feathers I could chop up (5.5" Shield left or right), sinew (I could pound out enough for one bow), among other stuff.  PM whatever you think is fair.  Thanks!

Just pulled ten of them off of boards.  They are all bullsnake skins.  I have several in that length.  they have been dried but not too stretched. Letme know if you are interested and I will post pics.

Thanks

Riley,

Can you send some pictures of your bullsnake skins to chimerakennels@msn.com I am sure I have something I can trade.

If you have a pair that look like this, I would be very interested. I need would be interested in a match pair that are long enough to cover a 62" glass backed longbow (the bow does have a leather grip and tip overlays, meaning I need about 56" of length wide enough to back the bow.

These two skins are 30 inches.  The smaller skins I have do not match as well as these two.  I driedthese on a boad and nailed them but I didnt stretch them.  so they should be able to sretch a little when wet.  Let me know what you think.

one has a hole at about 6inches but I think it can be worked around.
