I have a large (30# live weight) beaver pelt. its a spring hide trapped with a nusance trapping permit. but the hair is still nice. good guard hairs nice and fluffy still. its from Montana so you can imagine a summer hide out here being like the same as a southern winter hide..lol its not rubbed up or anything. its skinned, fleshed and frozen right now but i will salt it and dry it beginning of next week. i would trade it for a nice bow stave(s). BLocust, B-walnut, osage, maybe elm of hickory
