Re working points
« on: June 15, 2010, 11:49:37 pm »
Has anybody went thru there early years points an tryed to work down the bigger ones. I have a bunch of oversized football points an thought about trying to thin an maybe produce a thinner smaller point. Or should I just give my footballs to the kids an move on to new points. Just curious what everybody did with all of there early stuff. Thanks Bob

im not one to like reworking my early stuff or my firsts of any new style of point i try
however i have taken a bunch of failed points(ones that didnt turn out like i wanted) and reworked them to other types of points
i always wanted a harley, untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

Jesse, Most knappers would have been real happy to get the first  point, but I have to agree the second just looks  better. Thanks for posting the pics. Bob

Hey Bob and Jesse ...wow I never made points that big starting out!  But yeah reworking them is a great way to go back and make some of them look real nice.  Again its like remember how much great rock u busted along the way...I am almost ashamed! Bob u going o Bald eagle or Letchworth???
