Think hickory would make a good ottawa scalloped bow?

I loved the article a few months back.  Wonder if hickorywould work

If I understand this, the scallops is how you tiller the bow.  That would mean you have a series of stiff and weak spots.

bigcountry,
Hickory would make a mighty fine ottawa bow, recently made a double curve Seneca (scalloped one edge with holes drilled in it besides) it's short, a hard shooter and an all around good bow. Don't get to work Hickory much cause we aint got a lot of it around here, but Ken 75 was kind enough to send me a couple pieces of quartersawn Georgia hickory. If ya want to you can call me up at (231) 587-8542 can give a little easier way to go about it (at least for the first few, then ya can go the hardway later on).
after ya shoot it some , I can about gaurantee you'll do more, they are real blast and good weapons as well.
