Ipe shoots great.  Way to go on that, for sure.  I made one unbacked and it held about 2 weeks, then whamo!
The grain wasn't having it on mine...
Simplicity is always good looking - awesome job!

Very nice! I wish I could turn one out in a day.
It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

parnell i agree, josh it was a good quarter sawn board a lil run off on one end but i rounded the crap out of it , tdog not sure how long u been at it but my first one held together round october of 09 so it gets better before that i broke but forty acres worth of wood ,this site will help . ive built ten or so since then some good some gooder  ;D. ken i agree but i keep trying for the staves too, hope to be posting a maple static recurve in a day or two unless it becomes a takedown   :( . thanks to everyone else for looking  .  I LOVE THIS ADDICTION !!

I have built a few unbacked ipe bows and see no reason it shouldnt last. Rich Saffold is a good one to talk to on this subject he was the one who got me hooked on the stuff.
Jeff,
Oh yeah, very nice bow, simple is gooder!! ;D

Hey Ken,
That bow is sweet, nice lines, good power.....who cares how the wood was cut? That is a classic bow profile my friend!
