Hi all,
New member and forum poster, After much rewarding searching of previous posts, I have decide to try to make myself a homemade Fletching jig.
However, as being something of a newb wood workeri as well, can someone give me any hints or tips on how to make my fletching jig offset...looking for 2-4" of offset for my 5" feathers....i tried to eyeball the angle between both of the uprights on the jig base then cut in the jig clamp slots to suit, yet im having trouble getting one or both ends of the feather to adhere tightly onto the shaft.
Or if someone can provide me with the length of there fletching clamp and any easy dimensions would be greatly appreciated.
Having a blast but stymied due to lack of experience :-)
PS: my mega budget consciousness spline tester works well though! Cheers to all of you who posted all those informative pages in the past. I couldn't of done it otherwise.
Regards
Jeff
