here is an all wood and boo   turkish style bow i built last year,,55@29--48" groove to groove,,boo back,tempered boo belly..ipe and tempered boo core..3 lams,,maybe this will give you some ideas and help..................james

Can you give me some rough dimensions on that bow?  It looks nice.

1.25 at the fades..5/16 at centerof center core of ipe,1/8 tempered boo parallel lames

I just don't have access to that thick a piece of hickory...all I have are 1/8" edge grain veneers.  I only have red oak readily available outside of that.

I'm wanting to do static sayahs...how would you suggest I attach them, robustus?  Should I do the splice to the core wood and lay the back/belly over, or glue up the limbs and do a v-splice to the assembly?

you can always glue the strips to make the core thicker,the more strips in the core the less string foolow you will have,and also retain more of the reflex
