Where can I find a dial indicator for spine testers?
« on: May 07, 2010, 06:11:18 pm »
Just wondering what types of places I would be able to locally find a dial indicator for spine testers like on this site.

Tool store as in a place like ACE hardware, or an auto parts store?

EDIT:  Just found a Harbor Freight store in my town.  Thanks N2

Hey ease up!  I'm a newbie to all this, and I think I read somewhere that machinists used them, so thought they *might* be sold in auto-parts stores.   :D

lol I know.  I'm too uneducated when it comes to stuff like this, but I'm lernin' slowly.  It's funny, because I've used things like dial indicators in the past for other things, just never knew where the heck to buy them!  :D

     D'massphoto;
     like they said, if you have a harbor frieght, go there, they are relatively inexpensive, and they have the magnetic base stand to put it on, also.

I have two neighbors that sell SnapOn tools. They keep trying to sell them to me, but I go buy the cheap ones.  ::)

Thanks guys.  I'd rather buy/trade one from you guys rather than the store.  Problem is, I don't think I have anything that's enough to trade, (except photography) since I'm just getting started in all this.  :-\  I'm still looking for bowmaking tools!  :D  If either of you would like to sell it to me, feel free to shoot me a PM.
