Hi all,
I'm finishing up another Mollegabet, a request. It's 59" ntn, 30#@24", 2" wide in the limbs, linen backed fully quartersawn white oak. It is for a woman who has had problems with both shoulders and is working her way back into archery (her previous bow was her fathers 1940's Ben Pearson, which has been retired rather than risk breakage), hence the light weight. The backing gives me a canvas to paint on, as the owner is a long time member and past royalty in the SCA, holder of many awards and heraldic devices, which she would like displayed on the back of the bow. She'll also use this bow to keep the rabbits out of her garden, and in the stew pot.
This thing has taken so long to get to this stage that I'm getting bug-eyed looking at it, and I surely would be glad of some fresh eyes on it. The full draw shown here is my standard 24", but the owner only draws to 22".
As always, your observations and comments are greatly appreciated.
Frode
