need help making a quiver
« on: April 26, 2010, 06:47:47 am »
Hey guys I make bows arrows an knapping some good heads! All I need now is to make a quiver.  I have a 2 ft by 4 ft piece of rusty brown buffalo hide and that's about it.  Any ideas are welcome and always appreciated.

Thanx,
Russ

What kind of quiver are you wanting, back quiver or hip quiver.

Here is a detailed build-along for one I made from wildboar; maybe that would be of help for you:

There are more in the 'how-to and build-along' section:

Here's a buildalong I recently posted that worked for me.  I need to post my finished strap, though.

if you have a 2 foot by 4 foot piece, just fold it over and sew it up.  then youll be able to hold all the arrows youd ever need! course, you  should probably cut a strip of leather 4 foot by 2 or so inches wide.  then fold and sew!  haha
