Thanks for all the nice comments. I really like the way this bow draws and shoots. it is very smooth and can easily be drawn to 29" with no stacking at all in a 62" bow. I am planning on building a recurve using this riser design when I get the time.Jbell and Dusty baer using bamboo on the belly makes for a much lighter limb with less mass. I do temper the bamboo on the belly witch greatly inceases the compression. This combo makes for a very durable limb that holds the tiller very well. Most of the tiller is made into the bow with the taper in the lams. and in the limb design. I do the final tiller by removing matrial from the sides of the limbs. Pat

Pat, great job on that bow, I was impressed that you used a conservative deflex reflex design on this one. I bet it shoots just as well or better than some of the more radical designs. Steve

That is indeed unique, I really like the belly, how long did it take you to come up with the correct recipe to get you close on the tiller?

venisionburger I started out buy trying to take measurements from some of my bamboo backed bow and I came out pretty close on the first bow. I have try many diffrent combos before I really settled on one that I'm happy with. I can give you 1 tip I have better luck putting the reflex further down the limb than on a normal bamboo backed bow or you won't be able to tiller the limb enough and may end up with to stiff of out limb.  Pat

Thanks again for all the complements.  Finnish native I may use it this spring for turkey, but I usually shoot a heavier bow a little better but I shoot this one pretty well. I never know what is going to be my shooter until closer to hunting season. Pat
