What a great thread. This is a topic I have been ponderin fer a while. I am leanin towards Jewish bows bein similar to Egyptian bows myself. Not only did the Israelites spend many years in Egypt, Ishmael was a great bowyer, the son of Abraham and Hagar the Egyptian handmaid to Sarah. Of course there are many other people mentioned in the Bible, Philistines, Hitites, and so on.The Babaloanians left some beatiful Art reliefs of some of thier archers. And then there are the Romans. I have seen a wide veriety of arrow points that have been escavated and know they used the bow extensively as well. I will be followin this thread close as well.  Hope to learn some new insights to this topic.
