We just killed one in Athens, Texas a few weeks ago. Would have saved it had I thought about it. I think it winked at me before we hammered its head. It had a beautiful pattern though!

How big of a tree and where is it. I'm sure we can at least haul off the parts big enough to make a bow.

Actually I am going to call some tree guys. Pappy told me how to tell them to cut it so that they could be used for bows. I hope I remember his instructions. They are pretty big trees.
