Just saw the new Robin Hood like a lot of others.....and after talking with a friend, the interest grew and I do believe I may take that plunge and build a couple of ELB's. I like to keep to traditional methods, I find. Asian bows are also on the "to do" list. I just love the historical aspect of it all.
I never did a self bow yet, but I have tagged a couple of nice apple trees on the farm that I think will work with the original wood under the bark as the back of the bow.
No yew up here, but might find some elm to try....or ash.
One more project in my bucket list.
