tillering a pyramid (for novices)
« on: April 03, 2010, 07:07:47 pm »
Ok this isnt a great deal of insight but I was just making a pyramid bow.  I remembered someone saying that they dont bend enough at the fades. well it was 2 1/2 at the fades and I keep filling till they did bend evenly at the fades and Whoahhhh now there is another problem. Its a lot thinner then the rest of the limb and hastily took too much off.

So like they saying goes check often, id say every 10 stroke with a file or scraper.
now to start the process all over again..uuugh i love this stuff
knapp 'um if you got 'um

I thought pyramid bows were tillered by width and not thickness reduction but I've never made a really wide one and I've always tillered by width and thickness tillering for those. Jawge
