i have seen some sturgeon skin backed bows on here, does anyone know if gar skin would work? if so how would you process the stuff? i want to try to at least stick one big enough to make a quiver out of this summer.

I would think that a gar skin would be too thick and stiff for a bow backing. I've got a couple in the freezer of horrors that I haven't figured out what I'm gonna do with 'wm yet, maybe knife sheaths or something.
