tiller help

got bored and took my only simi-successfull bow which was a 72 inch, 35 pound red oak long bow. cut three inches off the tip of each limb and am in the process of reworking it to a more useable bow.

sorry bout the crappy pics, cellphone camera, and my grandpa is neither an archer or a photographer, so here is the best we could do lol.  ;D i suck at tillering so tell me what i need to do guys.

To me, the top limb looks long and stiff.
But don't take my word on it. Wait for another.

a bit more bending out of the fade on the top limb is what i would do right now

The Picture with your Grandfather drawing the Bow...it looks like the Top Limb may be a bit stiff out of the Fade...but the second Picture with you drawing it...the Tiller looks fine to me....JMO

Like they said, top limb is a little stiff while the bottom limb looks great. Pretty good over all though.

cool. top limb out of the fade. i'll work on it tomorrow. thanks guys. i'll do a little scrapeing and put up another couple pics tomorrow. this thing took alot of set, but its my first functional, non-broken bow so far, so its fine with me lol.  ::) and i didnt really notice before but lookin at the pics i think my top limb is longer. might just have to leave it like that. dont really bother me.

Looks to me as if you should move your left hand up about a finger or three, and take a tad of the last third of the top limb.
E.G I agree with the earlier post tha said top limb looks long and stiff.
