Timo, I use something similar, Instead of the clamp I have a rmall rope I put around the handle with a little handcrank under the bench, the rope just goes htrough a hole in the bench and around the crank,

That bow looks seriously amazing!! Wonderful combination of woods AND of colours (that's how we spell colour over here
)
Press is a good idea too and similar, if larger, in design to Steve's jig for bending tips for recurve on Poorfolkbows.
How did the bow turn out? Or did I miss it in another thread somewhere? I'll take a look through Feb BOM again...
