Question about the Ottawa bow

I've read the article several times... am I missing the dimensions some where? I saw the length and I know the bow is less than 3/8ths deep, but what about the width (maximum with the scallops)? I am wondering because I have a piece of short maple I'm considering making one of these bows from but I want to be sure it's wide enough...

Hey Fellas.....just saw this post. I guess I sort of hid the dimensions...kind-of. The rough stave can be between 1-3/4" to 2-1/2" wide and roughly 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick. The narrower you have the stick the shallower you make the scallops. Mostly in the article I made reference to how they did it......three fingers wide X one finger thick....then gave some rough dimensions "for the ruler guys" it probably wasn't the best way to go about it....but was trying to convey the way they did it but tie in some rough dimensions. The bow in the article was ONE design there are others which I posted under "Museum bow pics"....will add that here again for you.
       The pictured example (not the article) has a slight taper to the limbs (about 1-1/2 at the grip to 1" at the tips....and as you sand (flatten) the back and belly you will actually put a very slight taper on the limbs thickness because the sander removes more material as the width decreases. Also this version has fewer scallops that are slightly more shallow.......but it is Annashanabii the direct connection to the Ottawa.
