crab apple
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:46:49 pm »
Trimmed down one of my apple trees yesterday.  Saved a whole bunch of limbs 2" in diameter 72" long.  Per usual, lots of stickers growing out.  Think its a waste of time to keep for future high crown bows?   Also saved a few 5" limbs.  Knots galore of course.

Not really, the crab apple I've worked looked like it had potential. If it weren't for my bad decision making that led to frets, would have made some nice bows.

Caution: likes to check though... alot!

If the ppl ever allow private banks to control their currency, 1st by inflation, then by deflation, the banks & corporations that will grow up around (these banks) will deprive the ppl of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. Thomas Jefferson

Thats a work of art done by a master.  Maybe keep a few branches/staves around.  Worst could happen is I never get the time to work on em.
