But I will be tomorrow. I imagine Jesse will be too.
We went on a little rock run today. We both did pretty good too. Jesse went home with several big nodules and a couple hundred pounds of smaller stuff. I came away with around 200lbs or more of smaller pieces.
It was work getting it though. Most of it was carried close to a mile back to the truck across disc up ground.
We also found an ancient quarry. The ground was littered with broken bi-faces! You couldn't put your foot on the ground without stepping on a flake of flint. We picked up at least 20 broken pieces each, in less than 15 minutes!
Th flint was widely scatterd and rough packing it out...but it was worth every minute of it!
I took a few pictures of the little field we were getting it from
Most all of it came from just over the horizon. Those trees you see about halfway there are about 800 yards away.
The next pictures are of Jesse looking in the bottom of a sink hole and him packing about 150lbs on him back.
The fourth is just a few of the pieces we picked up at that quarry.
And the last two shots are of his and my haul for the day.
Thanks Jesse, I appreciate you taking me to your spot.
