went down to the lake and did some fishin satturday, which led to some eating today.
really not all that great but we were proud of it.
this was the first product of the day. i think he's a cotton mouth. found him in the busted up concrete sunning himself. couldnt get a shot on his head cuz he had it tucked up under a rock, so i walked up to where a black lady and here three little kids were, and the kids were running around on the rocks. told her "excuse me man, keep an eye on those kids or get them away from those rocks, there's snakes in there." she replied "aint it still to cold for em to get out?" i told her to wait a second and went and ran my bowfishin arrow into this guy and held him up for her to see. she quickly rounded up her youguns. lol. ok enough chattering here it is. pretty big for this species, biggest ive seen anyway.
now, though i am the snake slayer, i didnt catch squat on the rod. here is ian with his five little reds. like i said, not much, but better than we usualy do lol.
and here is what we did today. this is all the redfish,and a black drum we had in the freezer. in the foil is a skwirl and all the redfish backbones. man these things were tasty.
