Ky Blue Pine Tree...imagine that

Made this the other night.  It's kinda messy, but I liked the color contrast in the rock. The tip end is cortex.

I don't see anything trashy about that one Shannon. Damn son ;D. Looks like you have a touch of cortex around the base too, must have gotten all the good out of that piece of rock. Now I'm gonna have to try that ::).

the cortex on some of the kyblue is fresh and is not chalky yet and will knap well.
