Good start. What will you put your fire in,Yazoo, if anything?
Is that a fire pit in the center, covered by some branches?
How are you planning on starting your fire?
Hope you keep us posted with more pics! Most intresting!

That looks like a great project.  What are the overall dimensions of the structure?  Internal/external height, diameter etc...?

And when You are done...looks like a few Possible Bow Staves there too!! Like Jamie said....I think you are going to need to shed some of that Heat...once you get it done...you will notice that it will not take much to keep that Shelter warm as toast!!

We used to build Shelters like this back Home...but they were more on the Lines of a Hogan...more Domed...built of Saplings and Tree Bark for a skin...pretty cool and they would last many Years before they needed to be re skinned with tree Bark...good luck and keep the Pictures coming

Cool! 8)  Are the rocks going to be a problem in that temperature, when you put a fire in the ring?  You don't want to have them spall all over you, just when you get all nice and compfortable...... ::)  Would the moisture be out of them, from being so cold?  Or would they be damp?  Or is this a stupid question?  Anyway, let us know how it works out, I hope you have fun.
