Snake Over Silk

Anyone here ever use silk for strength, and go over that with snake skin for effect? Wonder how much this combo might slow the bow down?

I haven't used silk but have used about everything else,Rawhide /sinew mostly and I doubt you would know the difference,Most snake skins are very light. :)

I've used that combination many times. I don't think it slows the bow down at all given how light each material is.

i usually use silk with thin ringed osage bows for insurance and then put snakeskin over it.  tb II works well for both.  be sure to pick a silk color that will bring out the pattern in the skin.

I didn't chrono before and after but I'm with Gordon, I don't immagine it made much difference.
