heat treat cane

I was just at 3rivers archery I got some of the cane shafts what are and how do you heat treat cane? and dose it mater if you do it or not ?

 I've used heat to straighten cane, but there is no need to heat treat cane. To do so not knowing what you are doing , will take a big chance of making it too brittle or changeing the spine.

Like mullet said, don't worry about it.  Its pretty good stuff un treated..  if it gets crooked on ya, its easy to straighten out

Not that I can find...only thing made with Cane on their Website is Great Plains Tonkin Cane Bows....... ??? ....but then I don't live near the Shop...and can't go and visit...like some can......... ;D

look under primitives,then arrow building. they used to stock em
dunno what they mean??? trying to make the product sound better I assume, I imagine they really just mean heat straightened, like all other cane shafts

Same price as David Knight's but he offers them spine and weight matched.

What Eddie said. They usually get tempered enough in the straightening process.

Dang...for $50.00 a Dozen...I would for sure get Mine from David and Cora...I have seen their Arrows fly...I know that theywill be Spined and Straight when I got them.......
