Them first arrows out of the first bow really feels good don't it? I agree with Hillbilly, you're hooked now. Welcome to the Brotherhood of the Bow.

Way to go on your first!  Mine was a red oak board also, I had much less pull weight and it chrystled in spots but it shot.  You did well for your first.  Congratulations!

That's a pretty long bow so I think the tiller is excellent for that length and draw length. Too much limb working means more shock. Well done, hillbilly61. If you want to make a shorter bow next time, then you can get the inner limbs working more. :) Jawge

I have to also offer some advice, get more of the limbs bending so as to spread the work load over more of the limb which
will result in a long lasting durable bow. BTW looks like you have a big ol pile of boo there is that trade goods ;D

 I'm hoping to be able to trade some of it this weekend at pre-spring arrow fling, a a seasoned osage stave or two ;)

One heck of a bow u got.  Keep it up and good on ya for backing it now it can relieve u some that it wont explode on u some day...NOW on to the next bow!!!
