That's a pretty coyote.  We don't have them that nice or that big down here, but I bet we've got more of em.  That reminds me...I still have some coyote in the freezer.....

the municipality that i reside in put a bounty on coyotes 20.00 for a set of paws. so far halfway through 10 000 dogs have been turned in.  this ones hide is starting to turn wooly and i probly wont shoot many more. this one was about 300 yards away when i shot. im going to try tanning a few of my better coyotes this year as they arent worth much, so watch out if they turn out i might put a few on the tradeing post.this is an average size coyote i have shot a few that are quite a bit larger.

What state are you in?  Do you need a license to hunt them there?  $20 a piece nice...Interesting how coyotes react to hunting pressure though...they'll be back and in bigger numbers in a few years.

im in saskatchewan. no license needed. they were really putting a hurtin on the deer around here.  and causing a lot of greif with the cattle

Way to go Terence!  I guess that's one way of showing your dog who's the Alpha.

What's the terrain like?  Mostly open plain or any brushy country that might allow a shot with a bow?
