ID wood for my wife??
« on: February 21, 2010, 12:16:09 am »
I've seen wood id questions here before but this is not about a bow wood but hope it is ok in the "anything else" section!!

My wife has a cane that was her uncles and I have seen the wood but can't find out what it is called.  She would sure like to know what it is made from.   Thanks for any help!!

Looks like a fruiting stem from a palm, like a date or coconut palm.
