I am getting ready to glue up three LB kits: sassafras/hickory, locust hickory, red elm/hickory.
I am well aware the susceptibility of hickory bows to humidity, as my hickory bow loses some power in humid periods.
Can someone please rate the above three woods with regard to the same moisture phenomenon?
I am thinking elm and locust ought to be the strongest in a humid Virginia summer. Not all that concerned with the hickory backing backing strip on these kits as it is going to be quite thin.
Thanks in advance-PD
