Been stumpin' some the last two weekends. Great fun and making progress with my shooting. I broke 3 tips off ( two hammers and one 38 special case blunt) within 15 minutes. They were all Three Rivers Flu Flu's. Am I doing something wrong or just one of the hazards? Still having a blast, primitive is the only way to go. I lLOVE IT!!

POC breaks very easily behind the point if you hit something hard.

For stumping, get ash shafts and use steel blunts, not cartridge cases. I have ash stumping arrows made like that and they are going on 10 years old now. POC can't handle stump shooting.

Since I started making cane and hardwood shoot arrows I haven't broken any points off. I did hit a rock with a sourwood arrow and the arrow never shot well again. The rear end looked like a helicopter prop as it went down range...but never broke one.
